Unsecured Credit Cards for Bad or No Credit

The following credit card companies offer unsecured credit cards for people with bad credit or no credit history. If you maintain your unsecured account in good standing and make all of your payments on time for six months, you will be eligible to receive an increase in your unsecured credit limit. Their fees are higher than regular credit cards:

  • Low credit lines
  • High interest rates
  • Up front application, processing, and reservation fees, usually charged to your first statement
  • Annual or monthly membership fees
  • A fee for line-of-credit increases.

Because the fees often equal the credit limit on these cards, you may have no available credit until you pay the fees.
